Anyone used Canterbury Park and Ride for staying overnight recently ? Never used it before but we plan to arrive Wednesday evening (before it closes at 8.00pm) just wondered if it's likely to be full or will we be sitting in the middle of a car park on our glorious lonesome !

Being midweek it's not likely to be full but have never been the only MH there. Quite a lot of foreign vans use the P&R in order to visit the attractions of Canterbury.

We quite often visit Canterbury for a weekend as we love the place.

Well worth it to arrive a bit earlier as the parking ticket includes travel into and around Canterbury. Wish more councils would implement this sort of scheme

Used it for 2 nights over the Easter week. It's perfect and excellent value for money. £3 for 24 hours which includes the return bus into the Canterbury for up to 6 people, plus dogs are allowed :)

Fresh, grey and black waste available :)

There is an overflow arae built over the back and it hold a load more vehicles, but you need to come down for Black Grey and water, to the main parking area. Not often full of MH but sometimes car spill into it., driver too lazy to walk from the extra area 50 metres further on, so stick them in the MH park.

Thanks for that. Leaving North Yorkshire about 2.30pm so depending on traffic on A14, M11...M25 might just make it in time !

I think the overflow area is for cars not motorhomes, unless things have changed recently. As far as I remember you have to go through the height barrier to get to the overflow area.

The closing time now is 8.30pm so a bit later than it used to be.

I do not remember seeing any barrier but I did note the Googlemaps actually show it marked as an motorhome Aire.
