What is the best time to get there?

Depends when you are travelling ? The charge is "per day " so arrive arrive today but clock out at 1 minute past midnight & you have to pay for 2 days = £6-
Arrive after 4p.m today & you only pay £1 up to midnight & clock out a minute after & it will then be only £4.

@ianthebuilder is just up the road somewhere this week.

You need to get there before 8:30pm as that is when the entry barrier closes

If it's full go through the barrier as normal but go onto the car park instead of the Aire by the exit rather than the entrance as there's a height barrier ( you will understand me when you get there) the entrance barrier is closed midnight to six am, you can exit at anytime.

The twice we've use Caterbury we arrived at 19:30 and 12:30 and there was plenty of space.
