Ha Ha even I am not daft enough to paddle all the way.

The question is!

We are packing to head off on Sunday down to somewhere sunny but should we take the blow up canoe or not, based on previous years my guess is that it might be too windy on the coast, if it's in the garage I trip over it getting the bikes out but if we might use it I don't mind.

Anybody there already with advice.

On and off for many years.
You can probably hire rigid canoes / kayaks.

Having said that I would take our rigid kayaks in the hope of getting some paddling done - and because they have been set up as we like them.

There is a well known rule in place here, leave at home = perfect paddling conditions, take it with you = force 10 from Navorone.
