I have a Rimor NG5. On my 8 week tour around Europe, I have noticed that the roof vent - if it was bigger - it would obviously let in more air and I might feel a little cooler. My present vent is 400x400, could I just measure and cut a bigger hole and insert a bigger vent? Has anybody done such a thing?

All thoughts welcome and thank you for reading.

NO ... it is not that simple! You would need to know where the roof structures were and also if there was any wiring running through/round the area you wish to remove.

You could replace it with a turbo vent as that would allow you to pull in more air, or expel hot air.

Well you could do it in between knocking up a few five bar gates.
I've got enough to do I'm afraid :D ... actually it's a 4 bar gate ... but it is a big one!

A bigger vent will let in more sunlight and it may actually feel hotter in the van!
