We are travelling down from County Durham down to West Sussex at the week end.

Can anyone recommend a good place to pop into on route to get stocked up with a few essentials like chemicals etc. as well as looking for a Awning mat like the Moroccan Mat. Oh and need a new mallet but not the same as the stupid rubber one we have?

Depending on your route White Arches at Rushden will have everything. On the A45, probably 20-25 mins from J15 M1 or about the same from J13 of the A14

Why not call in at Catterick Caravans on the side of the A1 ?
Large shop (very), loads of awnings, mats and mallets.
Although I may have had my differences with them, see AutoTrail Woes thread, they do have a good stock of everything.

Don amott at etwall just off the a 38 another good one on Ashbourne airfield about 5 mile away plenty campsites around Ashbourne as well
