Take care if using S&G for habitation stuff - I wouldnt have them near my pride and joy again after I virtually had to restrain him from ripping my fridge out without undoing the screws.

Oh dear. Sorry to hear about Mr Colpot's experience with S & G.
I used them a couple of times last year and found them very helpful in solving a couple of problems on the van.
Even arrived early on the day we were going away to fit a new leisure battery.

Agree with Pikeman about Glen Strachan at Swift2. Always friendly and gives a good service at reasonable prices.

I would say that I used S&G first and there were two Guys and they did a great job fitting Gaslow and checking all was good although they did mark the van slightly getting the Cannisters in and out.
The second time it was to fit a new element to a fridge on the Sunseeker and the Guy was on his own and I was helping him to move the fridge forward. We had troble with one screw but rather than try to drill it out he kept trying to wrench the fridge out. Maybe it was because it was late in the day and he was on his own but I wasnt happy.
I try to use Johns Cross whenever possible but it means I use a days holiday, but they have always done a good job.

Wow what a fantastic response :)

I've got the guy from s and g coming next week to do the habitational service.

Hopefully it'll all go smoothly as me and the wife are dying to go out and use our new motorhome as much as we can.

Jollyrodger - were thinking of fitting a twin carburettor to boost the engine a little , have u any recommendations ?
