How about everybody saying which is their favourite campsite in Europe - and why.
Mine is Camping Montescudaio in Cecina, Italy. The site is in Tuscany and is in a former forest which has been tastefully converted into a campsite. The pitches are of all shapes and sizes and the demarcation is by natural means i.e. bushes, trees etc. The showers and toilets are top class, being cleaned twice a day and all sinks, whether for washing, clothes washing or dishwashing have plugs. The toilets are traditional European style and have seats as well as toilet paper. Hot water is always available. The site has 2 swimming pools and one child's pool as well as a Jacuzzi type pool. It has a reasonably priced restaurant, a top class pizzeria and a well-stocked shop. The staff are always friendly and helpful.
As you would expect, it is not cheap, but the rates are very reasonable for what you get.
