We stayed at Saint Cyr Sur Mer near Bandol but that may be too far from Nice for you. Short walk to beach, but we had a fight with the branches on the top field. Old marina, new marina and clifftop walk add interest.

La Vielle Ferme between Antibies and Cagnes Sur Mer is a site used by the Caravan Club Travel Service about £18 per night. Clean Hot Showers etc. Takes about 40mins to Nice on bus (1e in June) and 20 mins by train. Its about 7kms. Bus stop is just 3mins from site entrance, train station is a 15min walk. Antibies is about 2kms to south again easy on bus . Both Nice and Antibes are are easily reached by bike. You cannot access the beach directly from the site because of the rail line - not seen or heard on site.

stayed outside Vence at Domaine de la Bergerie. Short 25mins bus ride in to Nice cost 1 euro. 10 mins on bicycle from Vence, itself an interesting town. Were advised not to take van anywhere near to Nice as traffic difficult (did see vans waiting for the ferries to Corsica and Sardinia which was tempting...) maybe another year!

Thanks for replies. We have considered la vieille ferme but according to c/club book its a min stay of 7 nights. will have to give them a ring . We have to drop someone off at nice airport so were only going to stay for about 5 days. Also we have a twin axle van and it looks like they charge extra!!! still will try.:thumb:

Hi stayed there about 8 years ago when we had a eurovan, our next door neighbour, a fulltime tugger, appeared at about 21.00 in his jimjams and asked us to keep the noise down, we where playing snap! :Rofl1:
