Campsites near NEC (1 Viewer)

Can anyone recommend a good campsite as close to the NEC as possible

We have booked for a couple of nights on the Caravan Club temporary site at the NEC this week, it's not cheap but very convenient and there is some evening entertainment included.

The Caravan Club site at Chapel Lane is just down the motorway but it's often pretty busy. There are also a number of CL sites but I don't know what they'd be like after recent weather.

Somers Wood is close, a simple drive into the NEC at J6 M42 http://www.somerswood.co.uk/
The traffic arriving and leaving from Crufts can be pretty slow as it is one of those events where everyone arrives and leaves at the same time.

We usually stay here for the camping and caravanning shows at the NEC.

Adjacent a canal for walks, 2 mins from The Lock pub for good food and a few scoops and river fishing nearby.

There's a CC CL at Meriden which we've used a few times, nothing special but it does have some hardstanding on the yard which is useful at this time of year!
