Thanks all, have stayed at Marboue and Chateaudun but was looking for a site. Might go Alencon, Le Mans instead might find one that way. Barrie

These are a couple I came across while researching a trip recently - didn't get to make that trip - maybe next year.

http://www.camping-lejardindesully.fr This is in a small town called Saint Père sur Loire on the north bank of the Loire about 45km south east of Orleans. The address on the website is a bit confusing but the coordinates 47.77167 2.36245 will show it ok on the map.

There is another one in Limeray which might be too much out of the way - it's about 95km south west of Orleans. http://en.camping-jardinbotanique.com.

Another one is in Villiers le Morhier which is about 25km north of Chartres and while it doesn't seem to be open all year it seems to open on the 1st of February which might suit. http://www.campinglesilotsdestval.com/mobil/

As I said I didn't make the trip so can't personally recommend these sites.
