Campsite near Bilbao (1 Viewer)

I am looking at booking Portsmouth to Bilbao in January. One of the ferries docks at 1730 on a Wednesday. Anyone any suggestions as to campsites or somewhere safe to stay before heading south?
Whenever we have travelled via Calais we have stopped at either the aire at City Europe or travelled down to Cleres. So anywhere that is as "safe" as those would be fine. A campsite would be even better.

we will be stopping here in feb .el edon at carrion de los condes .100 miles from port when we arive ,could look at el desfiladero pancorbo .or de haro at haro.

Camping Johel in Noja about 45 minutes away. Not sure if it's open though.

Likewise we have stayed at Navarette but don't know if that's open either.
