Campsite in Cherbourg (1 Viewer)

Hi

I'm going to France for the first time on the 26th Febuary. Are there any campsites inor near Cherbourg open at this time of year. I've heard most campsite dont open until march. Any info welcome. Thanks

We wild-camped at the harbour in May with no problem. Obviously there was no EHU but that was fine just for a night or two. It's a lovely town.

If you drive down the west side of that peninsula, you will come to Granville which has a lovely Aire right at the top of the hillside and there is a lovely walk down the hill.

There is a car park in Barfleur, beside the harbour, which allows overnight motorhome parking.:thumb:
