Camping near Matlock bath? (1 Viewer)

Hi everybody, does anyone know of a cheap site as near as possible to Matlock bath. Visiting some friends and the only thing I can find is the duke William pub but at £17.50 without leccy it's a bit pricey. Thanks in advance. Sean

Splash Farm, Lea Bridge (01629 534137) is around 3 miles from Matlock Bath and Riber View Cafe and Farm Shop (01629 581954) at Ashover is about 6 miles.

We used Splash Farm a couple of years ago which was small but adequate with hook up.

No idea of costs or availability but might be worth a try.

We lived locally (Chesterfield) so don't camp around here often We've used Grouse and Claret for New Year not a bad layout and nice food in the pub too

there are a few CL's & CS's around if you consult the clubs websites too

Square and compass Darley Dale is not far away. Never stayed but looks ok .... Could poss get train to Matlock bath

There is a camping and caravanning club CL in Cromford which is half a mile from Matlock Bath. Called Alison House - not sure how much though.

Lickpenny Camp Site is really good and not too far from Matlock. Find it on Pitchup.com
