Anyone aware that Camping Las Dunas charge 25€ booking fee? Seems a bit excessive.:Angry:

The site is very expensive. didn't know about the booking fee though is it refundable? First class facilities, their own beach and with teams of cleaners that are paranoid about keeping the toilet and shower blocks absolutely spotless. Only let down by the price, i think two adults, two kids and a dog would cost about €500 a week in August.

Great site for Dogs though, they have a large area for vans with dogs and a large chunk of their beach dogs are allowed. Our kids love the place, my wallet does not:Eeek:

Be aware there is more than 1 Camping Las Dunas, it's a popular name in Spain.

I know of another at Peurto Santa Maria (near Cadiz) with the same name, and I'm sure I have seen others.

The one mentioned is not open in winter, once tried to get on there - it was closed.

The nearest one to Las Dunas which is open during the winter is Camping Salata in Roses I believe.

The first site we stayed at on our first trip abroad in a motorhome, 1985 I think. We went in May expecting good weather, it flipping rained, worst May for 20 years we where told.
