Have to collect a trailer from IP14 4QH either on 31st Dec or week starting 2nd Jan.

Choices are to take the car and go there and back in a day (approx 320 miles) so easily dooable, or to take the MH and have a couple of days away.

I know nothing about the area, can see from the map Stowmarket is about 7 miles away and Bury St Edmunds about 20 miles away.

Can anyone suggest a site in the area which is open and would give us walking and/or public transport access to a nearby town with enough to see to maybe kill a couple of cold wet, soggy days?

Thanks

Steve

Hi Steve, you can stay in the car park at the Ram Meadow car park in the town, they have proper bays for motorhomes and a toilet, its only 20 miles from us so never stayed, but have spoke to motorhomers there and have stayed 2 or 3 days no problem, nice town with the smallest pub, :winky: not been able to get in there yet, its always full. :ROFLMAO:

If you wanted a campsite not to far away is http://www.stonhambarnscamping.co.uk/?id=138990&option=0 a bit expensive but hard standing and a few things to look at on site.

Cromer CC site is open but may well be fully booked. If not they have a clubhouse on site and it is within easy walking distance to the town. Also on bus route to Norwich.

Breckland meadows just out side Swaffham, close to town. Might be a bit to far from where you re going, nice site though, best to book to make sure of pitch availability.
