Hi on a grand tour of Scotlqnd last year we stayed at Linwater Caravan and Camping site, a real beauty, good, clean, well managed site and £19 a night, though that was September, might be more in the school hols. Gary

Caravan Club at Silverknowes is the one we use 3 or 4 times a year. Have used Mortonhall as well. Easy access to city centre on Edinburgh's excellent bus services.

We stayed at the CClub Edinburgh site, a convenient location for the city.

There is a C&CC THS opening at Dalkeith Country Park tomorrow until 21st August. About half an hour into Edinburgh on the bus apparently.

We stopped at the one next to Roslyn Chapel, lovely site and a visit to the chapel as well.

Plus 1 for Linwater. Very clean site with great wardens. Pretty handy for park 'n' ride into Edinburgh by tram. Can't remember which P n R it is (but can get there from site!), but site staff will give you the info. Also some nice walks from site .

We will be returning there in October for a few days, we didn't even think about booking anywhere else..

Mortonhall gets my vote. I've only camped there, but it's a nice site with on-site pub, good facilities, and is right on a bus route into Edinburgh so easy to pop in and out. We've used it 2-3 times for the Edinburgh Festival.
