Dont know if this has threaded before but was going to book in at Kinkell Braes in St Andrews on Sunday night. £30.... I declined on principle, another site at nearby craigton would not take dogs, so went south to lovely Crail in south Fife

Got me thinking, where is the most expensive site?....

    £150 for two nights?

It's a dump ( especially the touring area).

You would need ropes to get me back there for even £30 a night.

Stopped at Sandy Balls last year. Place is a disgrace now. Used to be run by a family who really took pride in the place. They'd even mow the lawn, rake it and trim the bushes while you had a complimentary coffee and then see you comfortably into your allocated slot :thumb:

Place never used to flood as the drains were always swept clear too, but guess what...the family got old and sold it on

So the last time I stopped there it rained and flooded to about 6 inches. All the drains were blocked too. Poor family in a tent behind me flooded out

To add insult to financial injury, you have to vacate by 1000!!! What's that all about. I haven't even eaten my bacon butty by 1000hours!! :Eeek:

I enquired as to a later departure and informed that if I pay another fee, I can stay until 1400hours

Cheeky blighters even have the cheek to keep inviting me back again....far too expensive for a late Friday arrival, only to be turfed out by 1000 on a Sunday morning!!
