DSCN0027.JPG DSCN0025.JPG I have just taken a few snaps with my new compact camera, a Nikon S9700 and I KNOW zooming is not the most important bit, but it has the most instant WOW :xgrin: So without any add ons, slip in your (biggish) pocket here is what you can get :xsmile: Janie

Pretty close to the most important as long as good quality. And you've just proved it.

Very impressed, I used to use Nikon pre digital, with those sort of results must look at the digital range again.

Agreed, Impressive. Modern cameras have some very good zooming properties both digital and optical.

Glad you like the photos now you can see them :xgrin: Just a point and shoot though there are some manual settings available. The zoom photo was at 30x optical (I turn off the digital zoom on cameras as I do not like the results) and the other at it's widest. I bought mine from photospecialist.es because I am in Spain, it is actually a Dutch Company. They dispatched it the same day but put UK on the package, they said because my billing was UK, however it was probably just a mistake rather than a rule as they said. Anyway UPS was brilliant and on day three when I realised it was in Tamworth they shipped it back to France and Spain and it was here on day five! The price, delivered was £164 including a two year Nikon warranty that I have registered it for. Oh yes. Mine is black......cos after the zoom the colour is the next most important bit :xrofl: Janie
