Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
Well weve just collected the mh from the mechanics.
He replaced the cam belt and tensioners. Ours is a 2006 with 17k on the clock now . He showed the cam-belt to Ralph. Turning it inside out . You could see where it had been stuck in a couple of places , but it didn't look that bad. We'd told him to replace both regardless , just incase:winky:
Hes put on a Gates one , and theres now a sticker under the bonnet saying when it was put on and the mileage. If it fails now , Gates are suposed to guarantee the engine if the belt or tensioners fail .
Hes also sorted out our breaks as one side kept squealing intermittently. Hes filed some edges or something and greased them. He said that when he jacked up the drivers side the wheel was stuck:whatthe: Something we hadn't noticed. Changed alternator belt , the oil and filter , checked anti freeze level and checked all fluids.
All for the very reasonable price of £ 300.

So if anyone needs it doing and they are not faraway from Wrenthorpe , Wakefield , we can recommend a good mechanic. He does Ralph's tipper and my 4x4 too. Though he's more used to big tarmac wagons and forklifts etc
Hes a bit of a grease monkey , there were some nice greasy prints on the bonnet:RollEyes:
But they are off now:thumb:
Shes all set for the drive down to Careavan , Birmingham Sunday, now .
