Hi,
Just had a thought (Dangerous times) was thinking of getting a calor gas heater and leaving it on at very cold moments in the motorhome, whilst no one is in it ? Thinking this may not be a very safe practice after all?
Does anyone do something similar

Steve

Quite apart from the safety aspect, it will actually create moisture so make the interior damp! Better to use an oil filled radiator.

Well that's one moment of madness passed. Damp + Fire, will just go round and turn the eberspacher on every so often.
Thanks for the quick thought re-arrangement

That's not a bad idea, ideally you should run them every few weeks anyway to keep them 'sweet' - they are a mini-engine after all.:)

I think I can honestly say I have never heard of anything so dangerous. Apart from the chaps who were lighting a BBQ at one site we stayed at using a can of deodorant and a cigarette lighter!

Buy a "Tube " heater.. 40 watts per foot of length.. Mount it on a board and lay it in the aisle.. You can plug it into a temperature sensing plug set at any minimum temperature you choose.. works like dream..

Oil filled, convector, tubular or fan heater.. be aware that you use at your own risk as motorhome insurance does not cover the use of a ANY unattended portable heater.
