I have just seen an item saying with a blue badge displayed in a motorhome. You get a 50% discount.... Then I hear only if you are exempt from road tax... My partner has a mobility car from a dealer so pays road tax. Now it seems it depends how disabled you are as to what car you are in.. Seems the number bridge its free with no tax but you pay if you have. Severn bridge is free but you have to ask and show badge to cashier...... Any ideas. Thanks

If you are travelling in a vehicle which is tax exempt through
reasons of disability and you or one of your passengers has a
blue badge, you could save up to 50% on the cost of car tickets
on some of our routes.
This discount is available on routes that are not included in the
RET (Road Equivalent Tariff) scheme. To receive the discount,
please let us know when you make your booking or buy your
tickets.
CalMac staff will ask to see your blue badge and either your tax
exempt tax disc or a copy of your V5 log book.
On 1 October 2014, drivers will no longer be required to display
a tax disc on their vehicles.
What paperwork will I need once my tax disk has been removed?
You will need a copy of your V5 vehicle registration log book and
your blue badge. If you received your car through Motability, you
can use either your V5 Log Book or Motability Lease Agreement.
What shall I do if I cannot find my V5?
You can request a new copy of your V5 log book from the DVLA
or, if you received your car through Motability, please call
0300 456 4566.
How do I book and receive the discount?
To receive this discount, please book over the phone by calling
0800 066 5000.
