Has anyone been to the seafront Aire Gaston Berthe RECENTLY. We like the restaurant, Cote du Argent on the front next to the Aire but without some knowledge of the current situation it's difficult to decide. I suppose we could always just go and have a look and see how we feel. If we so I will report back.

Bryan... I dont think you can unless you pay..or are supposed to pay..
Last 2 times we went in there, all the parking area had been changed around and lots of signs about charges... We drove out and now always go to Cite Europe...

Treat yourself and go to Camping L'Escales.15 Min from the ferry with views of the white cliffs of Dover but a world away from Calais and all for 13euros.Recommended.:thumb:

We stayed overnight in the ferry terminal car park last Saturday night (31st May). There is still a large section which is free, but it was full and we were lucky to get a vacant spot.
You would not want to be trying to get in there with anything over about 6 or 6.5M long though.
