If you don't fancy Calaise there's a quiet Aire at Wissant nothing there as far as chip shops go though!

just walk down the lane, through the housing turning left at the top and a few minutes down the hill there's a pub and a chippy just a bit further on,

..apart from the two brasseries in the Rue Gambetta that do Moules & Frites for 10 Euros, just down from the D238/D940 crossroads in the centre.

Stayed at Wissant in November. The Aire was packed with Belgian motorhomes. Cars parked in the village were 80% Belgian. No idea why.

The Aire has parking spaces for buses and when we stayed there M/H's were parked on them. Buses are parked there overnight as drivers live locally. The Belgians were not happy being required to move on.

Otherwise, a lovely village to visit , with great beaches and several good restaurants.

It certainly has (for 3 I think). And when we there in April they started their buses at about 6:30am and left them running on idle for half an hour to get them warmed up!!! Hardly a quiet Aire, as others have suggested.

We won't be going back there I suspect.

Well it was quiet in February when we were last there and the buses were there.

We stayed at the aire at citi Europe last week - very quiet with about 12 MHs and regular patrol around the car park. Stocked up in Carafour before closing time.
