    first i knew that cake competions even existed was when my daughter told me she was going to the one in birmingham and she just comeback with a certificate of merit missing bronze by one place not bad for her first attempt to see her cakes

    oh yes and its taken very seriously by the competitors. back in the 50s my mother won a medal at olympia for cake decorating. plus a number of national competition wins. something she was always very proud of

    a certificate of merit is no mean feat with the level of competition. well done your daughter
