We were glad to have had our hardtail mountain bikes yesterday, rather than our gravel (cyclocross) bikes, mainly for the comfort of the front suspension. The other bikes would have managed the track, but they are new .... and we didn't know what to expect! If you have to get off for short sections of rough track there's nothing wrong with that! Your hybrid bikes will probably be OK.

@jumartoo Thanks. You sound as though you're having a good time.
We're planning on dropping by at Totana in Feb, before working our way slowly round the coast and back through Portugal, so I hope we'll see you and you can tell us all about it. (Strongly suspect we're nowhere near as fit as you are, though!)

Today's ride took us towards Los Escullos. From there we climbed up to the mirador before dropping down to Rodalquilar. Thanks to @matamoros we found the unsurfaced road behind the mines easily and continued to Los Albaricoques and back to the camperstop. Another lovely sunny day with less wind than yesterday making the riding easier.

Tomorrow we're taking the Motorhome to the coast to do a short bay to bay walk.

At the mirador, unfortunately shooting into the sun.

So...our last day in Cabo de Gata before we drive to Seville tomorrow. We took the Motorhome down to San Jose and had a short walk along the coast. We parked in the free aire before going for a walk, but decided not to stay there but to return to the camper park and eat in the restaurant there to try it out although Manuel, the camper park owner, had stressed that it was only simple food there.

We had a salad to share, fideua (Spanish pasta) with mixed seafood for the first course and tuna with chips for the second course. Martin had arroz con leche (rice pudding) for dessert and we had two glasses of red wine each. This cost the huge amount of 20 Euros. The food was equal to many Menu del Dias we have had and quite acceptable.

We will be quite sorry to leave this area but will definitely return sooner than 17 years.

One of the bays along the coast.

Don't know whether you have had a night out(or afternoon) in Seville before but my personal recommendation for the best tapas bars etc would be over the Puente Isaballa (Triana Bridge) into Triana.

The riverfront bars are a bit expensive but if you carry on along San Jacinto, which is now pedestrianised, and explore especially along some of the sidestreets.

There are now two of these close together.
