Yes.. esp in Italy and Spain ( dunno why but hey ho )
Lots of truckers are still on channel 19 and lots and lots of home bases on 14 in Italy

We have found ours very useful. Mostly because using the mobile phone is quite expensive, and the CB is free. So wifey will use it to call me when I am off walking the dog for example.
Also using it as a reversing aid is very handy.

Still got a few good antennas and a couple of sets ,maybe fit em onto camper one day once a pirate always a pirate
