Over 6000 miles between 3 March to 26 September 2017.
I've driven the motorhome, about 50 miles on the M5. I am so proud of myself. Have to admit I was scared beforehand but it was a doddle, so easy. Next is corners, roundabouts and traffic lights.

Well done. I know how nervous you must have been beforehand with Lots of unnecessary demons running round in your head! You'll find corners, roundabouts and traffic lights just as easy. Loren

Now sat in the MH at Cornish Farm ready for the alarm to be fitted tomorrow. Had a chat with Eddie and his lovely wife (sorry, I've forgotten her name :(), and Ashley. Going into Taunton for something to eat then back here to settle down for our first night.

same feelings here, in my head the night before the motorhome had doubled in size and started having palpitations over how I was going to drive it, but once I had a couple of miles under my belt it was a dream to drive. Note to self "don't get cocky "

Well done. I hope you tried the roads back to M5 from Cornish Farm today. A nice little practice run.

Ooh, Well Done from me, too. I am trying to do some miles every week, in preparation for my manouevring course in May. Apparently, once that's under my belt, I'll be able to drive the Moho all the time. o_O As ours is LHD, maybe I will once we're back in LHD countries.

eight years in theory, a newby in practice!!!
First time I drove a lorry, I reversed into another trucks headlight in the yard. I hadn't even driven 20 yards! I was soon reversing into the tightest places while doing deliveries to front doors of shops in towns. Your raised position gives you so much better vision and time to react
to anything that is developing ahead of you. I would rather drive a lorry than a car any day. Just chill, take your time and enjoy(y)

Done a bit more driving now. Wanted to drive part of the way back from Suffolk today but Mike was having a really good day and, so, was enjoying the driving and didn't want to hand over the reins :( (or wheel :D)
