Saw one of these at the weekend, looked a near perfect layout, with a good sized "garage", full width shower room with separate shower, decent galley, loads of storage. Only compromise is that it has a drop down bed again (we currently have an Adria Matrix Exess 590 and thought we would go for a fixed bed next time) and some of the finishing details let it down. Does anyone have one of these already, what do you think of it?

We had been thinking that our next van would be a fairly recent Hymer or Rapido, with a fixed bed but were very taken with the Burstner layout.

We have the island bed version, build quality is good and had no problems to date, one advantage is the drop down bed is length ways (and big) and comes down to seating level unlike most of the traverse beds which you still need ladders to access

We have the Burstner IT680G and absolutely love it. It is so spacious and comfortable. The lengthwise drop down bed is so spacious and it drops to just above the seats so is nice and low. The bed has different levels in case you want to make up a bed underneath, we purchased as a 4 berth so got the ladder and an additional cushion. It is huge when made up but we haven't used it as yet. We previously had a burstner with a fixed bed and it was just a waste of space to be honest and the bathroom was tiny. Love this new 680G.
If you want to ask anything then feel free, will try and help

Well, we have just put a deposit down, and cannot wait until May/ June for delivery. Very exciting being able to specify the extras that suit us.

Not sure whether the trip across the channel on 31 May will be our last one in the Adria or the first in the Burstner.

Did you go for alde heating, we were unsure so asked the question on fun and got a unanimous yes to alde best decision ever. We are off to Ambleside today and it is freezing so will switch heat exchanger on and habitation area will be warm as toast when we arrive.
It will seem like ages now waiting for delivery but at least you still have your Adria to go away in till your Ixeo arrives

We also took delivery in August this year and absolutely love it. Excellent use of space that we find very comfortable. You will not be disappointed(y)

What extra's have you chosen?

The only optional extra I regret ordering was the extra piece to make the seating into a complete bed. Not needed and can't see us every using it(n)

We went for the upgraded Truma Combi to include electric operation, we have that in our Adria and it is very effective. Other goodies we specified were a spare wheel, weight upgrade to 3850, upgraded hab door, oven/grill under the hob, second battery, TV move for the locker above the bench seat on the off side, an external gas point for our Cadac and leather seats. We didn't go for the dinette conversion, it is a van just for us after all.

Nice looking van's, would you be able to fit a couple of bicycles in the garage?, if so it pretty much ticks all the boxes of our future wish list

Yes it is possible.

We have the fiamma garage slide pro fitted in ours as this secures the bikes and makes it easy to load and unload them.

However, you do have to fit folding pedals and with the mountain bikes we need to loosen the handle bars and turn them 180 degrees. Although, the security of them being in the garage is worth the 5 minute job of doing this(y)

I'll get a picture taken with both bikes loaded later today;)

We love our it 680G too. We bought 2 Wisper folding ebikes (806 Torque). We collapse the handle bars (only) and they fit in the garage well leaving plenty more space for our other items.

We imported our van and went mad with extras:-

Chassis Pack
Design Pack
Winter Pack (second battery, under floor heating, heated grey tank etc)
Fiat Interior Pack
Comfortmatic
150 bhp engine upgrade
Alden satellite (only 65 cm but works great – Sky has worked perfectly as far as Porto and Javea so far)
Electric step
Skyroof XL
24” TV
100W solar
Air conditioning
Upgraded hab door
Tec Tower
Parking sensors rear
external gas point
external 230V/12V/TV
Outside shower
central locking on hab door
Remis blinds
Upgrade to 4000 kg

Some of these may be standard in UK spec. Southdowns (who have been great) fitted:-

Rear steadies
1800W inverter
Fiamma safe door locks
Internet system from wifionboard
Set up and connected my sky box
Extra rack in garage.
2x 11 Kg Gaslow system

The only issue we have had is minor, the sliding doors at the back in the bathroom come open in transit. They have fitted stronger magnets which may or may not be sufficient.

The only extra I would question at the moment is the air conditioning, we haven’t used it yet!
