Help wanted please?!

We have a small water leak coming from behind the plastic wall in the shower.

We are talking about Matilda, Lynnes beloved fiat based Dethleffs Eurostyle T63.
Also known as sunstyle or something......

I am trying to gain access to the pipes behind the corner moulding the holds the shower and shower tap, unfortunately the little plastic 'bungs' seem not to want to play the game and refuse point blank to come out......

So my question to those great and knowledgable ones is..... how do i remove the little bungs please...???

photo please, or are you refering to the screw cap covers
a thin bladed knife at one edge may do it or they may be sacrificial.

no chance of pic as far beyond me.

i think the outer washer looking part is connected to the bung and the middle plunger holds it all in place. geussing it is sacrificial...

from your description i think i know what it is.

is the 'plunger' visible and nothing more than a thin rod which goes in the center of the washer part or does it have a cap...like a mushroom ?

if its visible then use something like a small drill bit to push the plunger right through the bung...not sacrificial but you'll never find it again.
a trip to a body repair shop will get you some new ones or find some plastic rod to fit.

if its got a cap on the plunger then a pen knife or similar between the plunger cap and base washer and twist it out.....you can use these again as you will have the cap/plunger in your shower tray.

thank you very much... but..... nothing is that simple.....

The thin pin type i have used and it is not them,
The large pop rivet type where you just push the whole thing in, it's not them either,
It looks like the ones with the pin but the pin in the centre is about 8 mm across and will not move a bit.
Tried to 'lever' out the pin but just broke the flange off.
so i thinkng just drill them out and find some replacements.
unless someone comes up with a better idea.

thank you all again though....

light at the end of the phone!!

After a phone call to the main Defleffs importers, Lynne found out that they are semi sacrificial. The centre of the pin is about 8 mm across and they push into the outer plug.
This creates a flat inpenetrable surface, hence why we could not got them out. Well what one must do is drive a small screw into the centre of the inner bung/pin and then pull it out using the screw. This part then is thrown away and a new one fitted and the rest of the pin thing is held in with a screw. So now we know. Hope we will never need access behind this panel again.

Thank you all again for your help..
