Hi
Has anyone had problems with buklhead regulators. I have a swirt sundance 590 rs which didnt come with a gas bottle so i went and got one and fitted it. The gas came out very low at the cooker the flame was very poor ,now theres no gas getting thro at all .the swift is new to me,only had it a few weeks ,but its had its hab checks before we got it so assume it is a duff regulator.

Cheers Keith.

There is a purge button on the regulator itself, similar to the "Green button" on the crash pigtails. Press this a few times and see if it improves.

On our 'Vorsprung Tecnik' 'van there is a button to press on the Reg. You have to 'press and hold' for 5-10secs with the gas bottle 'On' for gas to flow.

Is it different to this one? You can see the yellow switch above the black cap and the yellow buttons.

The valve is in the bottle end of the hose which is the rounded POL connector. If you look up it you will see it.
From memory I think it can be unscrewed and discarded. Just a brass plunger and a spring.
Either way blowing through it will highlight if there is a blockage

Hi Keith, I'm surprised nobody has already mentioned it, but it sounds like your regulator is "oiled up" ... a well known problem with some Truma regs and will need replacing.

I'm sure I managed to remove it on the one I had but without seeing it maybe just buy another hose without a valve

I have that exact same system, I suspect that the regulator is not the issue.
In the cupboard next to the oven, at the bottom there are gas isolator switches. I suspect you've knocked one of them off. Just reopen the valves and you should be good to go.

Why does it sound like a new regulator ? You've just said the hose is blocked
The yellow button is the breather for the regulator diapraghm i.e. Not a button at all
