Bryn. 2000 - 2011 (1 Viewer)

Today we had to say farewell to our oh so faithful and handsome border terrier Bryn. I struggle to read my own typing. We knew weeks ago that this decision had to be made. We had a quiet weekend together in our MH at Oswestry and knew on Saturday that our return would be via the Vets. He was an experienced continental traveller, having first travelled to France with us in 2001, long before we owned our first MH. Our French trip in June will be much sadder without our companion. We will never forget him (as we have never forgotten all his predecessors).

Sorry to hear about Bryn.
Unfortunately when living with pets we all suffer this, but it does not get any easier, but at least you have your memories and as you say they stay forever.
I know none of us like making this decision but it's the least we can do after years of faithful friendship and trust given so freely.

It's a terrible thing that we know we must do at some point in our ownership of our beloved pets. But, when the dust settles, we are always left with such great memories.

Life without pets would be no life at all for me.

So sorry about the loss of your friend. l have been through, as we all have with pets, the same traumatic experience. Think of the good times he gave you, and you gave him.

A sad time - you know you are doing the very best for them but somehow feel you have let them down as they always look to you for love - I have been there too many times and with two loving terriers one who is about 13 year old I know it is going to happen again soon - thoughts are with you.

So sorry for the loss of your companion. I know how hard it is, but you will have great memories in time. I would always rather have a pet and feel the pain than not to have one at all.

Sorry to here this, This is the worst part of pet ownership knowning you have to make this decision for the good of your pet.

Just have to try to think about the good happy life your dog had, and all the pleasure you brought each other.

Even though I have never met you or your Bryn the post left a sadness in my heart. It's very difficult time especially to make that final decision. I just hope I don't have to make any decision like that and when Susie,s time comes that she will pass away quietly and peacefully. The vet has warned me it could be any day with Susie problem, just watch her breathing expecting the worst.
