There is a Carrefour at Cité Europe which is adjacent to the Tunnel complex. Also a large Auchan Hypermarket just a few miles away.

Take plenty of warm clothes at this time of the year, the damp can really get to you.Nice small xmas market and outdoor icerink, the stall at the end by the shops sells the best frites in Belgium.Centre and canals nice, also the walk through the park into the city. The tower by the town hall is worth a climb, and chocolates to die for.

Since 2009 with motorhomes several caravans then tents before that.
We were there not last weekend , the one before.
It was a lovely bright weekend. We sat out In the cafes and ate at lunch times , didn't need an umbrella and the down filled coats we wore were too warm for the weather.
But as rebellious says it can be very much the opposite. We've been in the winter and its icy cold.
We love Brugge . The architecture , food ,drink,chocolate,shops.......
We've yet to go in the Motorhome though. We do the P&O mini cruises from hull. Each time the coach drops us off , we pass the Aire and say " We must come for longer than 3 days and bring the Motorhome!"
One day , when time permits !

Love Bruges, but they don't have hypermarkets in Belgium anywhere that we have found, so shop in France

If the weather in nice, climb the church tower in the main square

and if you are not driving, have a glass or 2 of Kwak in the large glasses looking up at where you have just climbed

and please let us know how you get on, not stopped in Bruges with MH (yet)

Bruges, a fine city, is very" bicycle friendly". Its by far the best way to get around. There is a very good brewery tour in the town centre, takes 2 hours ending in a beer or two.
Camping Memling is a good place to stay, ACSI price, central location. If you have time visit the village of Damme, 4km from camping Memling.

We can highly recommend Brugge Aire. We are returning for the new year.

Agree..Have stayed many times. A nice easy walk/cycle into town + a few places near by to drink/eat as well, if you don't fancy going back into centre in the evening that is...

A great restaurant not to far from the city centre is De Pepermolen, Langestraat 16, Brugge, +32 50 49 02 25 They do some fantastic game and fish. This is a treat restaurant and you will need to book but well worth it. (y)

Or a less formal restaurant is Broken Link Removed. They do an all you can eat ribs dish - the racks keep coming until you say no. 3 choices of marinade - try the beer and chocolate one - it is much better than it sounds. And plenty of R&B music too while you are eating.

Oh and there is plenty of good beer too.

I take it you mean "H O W M U C H ?"
Brian it was in our pre motorhome days, we spent New Years in Brugge with my brother in law and his wife, now we are canny Funsters we spend less on eating out but every now and then we like to splash out so I would certainly go back there again. I think it one of those restaurants that is worth it. (y)

Had a very memorable meal in Den Dyver restaurant a few years ago.... (new management now so not sure if same format). It was unusual as choice of set menu, and depending on if you have wine or beer you got a different drink with each course..It was really something different and food excellent. pricey though.

And why not. We love eating in the main square, we pay a premium but the views are great and the food is great. You can't beat people watching, good food and good drink on a sunny day.

Ghent is quite similar on a bigger scale.
