Hi Folks. First trip to Germany. Arriving Bruge Aire Wed am. Would like a recommended site midway on route between Bruge and Trier. Heading north from Trier up to Koblenz for 6 week tour of Mosel and Rhine. Any recommendations for sites, stellplaz would be very helpful! THANKYOU in anticipation? :thumb:

There is an Aire in Bastogne, very close town centre.

Dudlange in the South of Luxemburg where if course you fill up with cheap fuel and cheap tobacco if you smoke before moving out to trier and up to Koblenz the Mosel valley is a real treat. Enjoy.

We always stop at Remich in luxemborg, you can park down by the river or go over the river and park in the old customs parking area ,its a great little border town and nice walks, then its only a hop skip and jump to trier, from brugge to Remich allow around 5hrs drive time with a break and take the national roads and not motorway and you will have a pleasant journey ,in Remich there is also a Shell Filling station for topping up with cheaper derv,Enjoy your travels ,Alf:thumb:

More than midway, but we stopped at Echternach on the Luxembourg border. Doing the same trip as you. We went from Echternach to Mehring, Minheim, Graach, Cochem, St aldegund and Koblenz. Now on the Rhein at Bacharach.

Never considered Remich when we pass through Luxembourg on the way to the Mosel. Can you be a little more specific about the location (GPS) would be nice.

Hi, we Don,t use GPS only Maps, Have not caught up in the modern jungle to much yet,but if you go into google maps you should be able to find Remich, for us its the only route we would take for middle and south germany and also good for transiting to italy for us ,had some real great times there not to busy except main summer periods, and its lovely to take a couple of days off by the River, hope you enjoy the place much as we have:thumb:
