Off Tuesday week for six weeks in Germany. Really Nervous . . . using Euro-Tunnel to Calais for the first time then heading for Bruge Aire. Advise please on sites/aires en-route to the Rhine + or - four hours driving would be really helpful. Not too many narrow lanes! Pushing my luck but if you have GPS co-ordinates it would be a bonus! THANKYOU in anticipation. :thumb:

We are on our way to the Rhine via the Mosel. Arrived Calais. We stopped at Echternacher on the German Luxembourg border. Trier, Mehring, Minheim. Campsite in Cochem to do the washing, and next wandering down to Koblenz to start the Rhine. We have an 8 and a half metre motorhome and not had any problems. Might see you on the Rhine. Look out for our Bessacarr.

Bruge Aire to Rhine

Don't worry you'll have a great trip. We travelled along the Rhine and Mosel a couple of years ago. There are lots of Stellplatz many with Electric dotted along the Rhine. We found that many of the campsites looked full but it seems there are lots of seasonal pitches. Also at lot of campsite had Stellplatz next door. Something also we found was that cash was king. Many shops and sites didn't like cards. If you are any where near Luxembourg then a diversion for fuel might be a good idea. Enjoy
