    Brittany Ferries have cancelled their crossing from Cherbourg to Portsmouth at 12.30 Saturday 20th August 2016

    What wind? It is very very mild here, no wind just a bit cloudy. I have the fans running to try and cool down the office.

    The wind will pick up on Friday around four in the afternoon. Hope you are on an early crossing. :)

    Edit. No that's the Plymouth forecast, you will be OK at Portsmouth until Saturday. :)

    That's the fast, catamaran type ferry. Believe me, you wouldn't want to be out in that in anything above a Force 6. The other routes use more traditional hull shaped vessels that ride heavy seas a lot better.
