Looking at the rear suspension on that truck, I'd say he is very overloaded, but then they have a different attitude to rules in Spain! :D

the tow truck has likely a 3500kg capacity but that should be evenly spread. not 8ft hanging off the back

I wonder what the combined overhang is from the rear axle of the recovery truck, to the back of the motorhome :Eeek:

Since the '80,s
Saw a very similar incident in PT last week.
The GNR had stopped a recovery truck same size as that one with a 3.5 ton Luton van on the back !! Looked like they were having a very serious conversation with the driver and rightly so,idiots.

Must have had some seriously long ramps to get up there without scraping.

She shine on the road and footprints on the LH side was 70 litres of diesel when he punctured the diesel tank by not setting the bed correctly and waving me over the hump. Van had lost brakes due to vacuum pump failure but was drivable onto the truck. Tank repaired and filled with 120 litres by the breakdown company.

I would have demanded a tank, not a repair, if it was punctured.
If it was simply a dislodged pipe etc then thats acceptable.
How do you effect a permenant repair on a fuel tank, you cant weld it.

Correct but that is including its own weight. I asked the
question of my mate when he picked up my 2,3Tonne mpv & we were rolling a bit , to be told carrying capacity is 2Tonnes:)
A few weeks back I stopped on way to Alicante & there was a toyota car awaiting recovery . Some hours later on the way back I espied it on the recovery truck, driver on the phone, parked on the exit from the rest area. That was when I noticed the offside double wheels on the truck were missing.:LOL:

We had this one when the top engine mount bolt sheared clean in half!!!!

Quite concerning as it meant the engine dropped onto the right hand side driveshaft, tearing the inner drive boot in the process and effected the steering too.

Good job mine was on a dual carriageway. It was so loud and the way the steering wheel behaved I thought it was a blowout.

Excellent service and all covered under my fully comprehensive insurance policy that included full U.K. and European breakdown cover. The driver said it would have been in excess of £500 just for recovery!!!!
