Brand new Mk8 Transit 16" spare wheel and Vanco 2 tyre. How does £100 sound? (1 Viewer)

Continuing my garage clear out I bought this for my previous van, which was a Chausson 717 on the new Transit Mk8 chassis. It is an excellent quality German spare, to which I had fitted an identical tyre to the originals (Continental Vanco 2, 235/65R, 16c 121/119R). Problem was, two weeks after I bought it I decided to get a Carthago on a Fiat base so it's absolutely as it came from the supplier. I want £150, which is a fair bit less than it cost.

I will be at the Peterborough show, otherwise collection from Tewkesbury please. It's really heavy!

Price now reduced to £100.

It's no use to me mate, so it's none of my business, but you don't mention age in your post, which worries quite a few on here

I bought it in May this year, so it really is brand new. I had a 2015 Chausson on the latest mk8 Transit chassis.

I paid over £200 for the wheel and tyre when I bought it a few months ago, although I could have gone for a Chinese tyre which would have been a bit cheaper.

You're not gonna like this Bob but it's a bit expensive I'm afraid! You can get them elsewhere cheaper than that usually.

It did cost over £200 originally because I specified the same tyre as I had fitted on my Chausson (the ones on eBay come with chinese tyres) and it's a decent quality German wheel but I am very happy to listen to any offers! I was, in hindsight a bit daft to put the original price in the heading to the advert as I can't change this now even though the asking price was reduced a while back. It really is brand new, only having been in the van for one trip. I don't have the Chausson/Ford any more.

Why not ask @Jim if he can remove the price form the thread title for you?

I know what you mean about the cost and if you buy them brand new from a dealer etc they do cost a lot but once classed as 'used', even if never actually used if you see what I mean, they do suffer depreciation quite a bit. I've never ever bought them from a dealer in the past, always got them off Ebay etc as 'never used'.
