Great for visiting Bordeaux, recommend getting the city pass from reception, 25 euros, if you want to go inside lots of places, also covers city tours, buses and trams. Either that or its 1.50 each way from outside the camp.
The camp site itself is badly planned, yes easy access to water, most pitches aren't too bad but some have a slope. Rubbish bins are actually outside the gate, I shall do mine as I leave and you only have one chemical disposal point, of course not in the area I'm in. The French are just using the plentiful local toilets and making a horrible mess. The site isn't that cheap so can't understand it
