We have a 2009 Swift Bolero 600 EK which has a reverse. camera in a built in housing factory fitted, but it is linked to our useless Sat nav, also factory fitted, and only comes on in reverse, naturally.
What I would like is a permanent rear view monitor , like a interior mirror type , but fed through our existing camera, I don't want to fit another camera, any of you tech wizards know if this could be done?.

There should be two connections to the camera: one which will be two single wires for +12v (from the reversing light circuit) & earth; the other a coax cable. If you can find the coax cable it will simply connect to your new monitor. Have a look behind your sat-nav. The coax plug is often - but not always - yellow.

Ok, will try that at some point, need to buy a monitor first.
