Have a look at the Cyclone Primus V2. It's not a DVD player, I should add. However, it does work off 12 V. will store hundreads of blu-ray films and is ideal for motorhomes.

Thanks for that, eventually found the review with the 12V input listed as a 'Bad' point and the same t:censored:t of a reviewer mentioned that it was no good for anyone over 65 as they wouldn't understand how to operate it :censored::censored::censored:

Still need to "rip" the DVD/Bluray don't you?

Edited to add;
How about this;
Amazon product ASIN B00R34L7ZS
The first review mentions its 12v
It comes with a 3 point plug that you can plug into the mains and it reduces the voltage to 12 V. You can purchase a 12V cable (for use in the motorhome )for a couple of squid.
What many people tend to do is download films from the internet and other media straight to the device. Some people use a VPN service so they can access certain websites and download all the latest high quality (Blu-ray) films for free.
It is very easy to operate and comes with user instructions.

Hi all, many thanks for your replies I will certainly check it all out. I do have a 500gb hdd connected to the tv with films on but not really enough space to copy the bluray's to.
once again many thanks

LG did a lovely 12 volt player which is now discontinued although you can pick up a slightly used one in Amazon.

It's the LG bp125., I don't know if they made an updated model.
