Aint it just typical tho, I've grafted my nuts off all week in Southampton while the Sun has cracked the flags only to return to grey sky and falling temperatures for the weekend.
If it brightens up I'll post some pictures later.
Only two out of 5 pitches taken (grass but firm) we'll be coming back here for sure as it is under 8 mile from our storage.
I pulled out 133kg of scrap cable from the shop I'm fitting so a nice £166 bonus covered tea tonight. I had a 16oz ribeye

I will sound like your stalker now, but I work at a school near the Blacksmiths and sit at the traffic lights admiring motorhomes most days, saw yours tonight and spotted your Rapido! Have a great time, it's a popular CL!! :)

Just looked on Google maps and streetview. That looks very nice. May be up there in a few weeks time

Are they strict about caravan club membership, or don't they bother?

They ask but they don't (didn't) insist on seeing your card, they trust you. Make of that what you will, I know what I would do.

    Hi Andy

We were there two years ago and it looks like they have finished the access road since then, it was just shuttered edges and left some sharp bits for tyres.

See you have the tractor lined up for towing you out:Rofl1:

Ground seems pretty solid, certainly zero tyre indentation after two days.

Yes it is all good now :thumb:

    Just a question Techno.

The Blacksmiths one of our locals when we lived in Mirfield.
We have been left from their for thirteen years but when we were local, the pub was full of brassware. It seems to have had a facelift since then. Is the brassware still installed?

    Thanks for that.
Assuming new owners, the last ones must have weighed them in.
It was the local custom to donate brass you didn't want to the pub for adornment. My mums old plaque went there after she died.
I reckon they had enough there to retire on alone.
