i am thinking of solar panels to keep the batts topped up when the van is left unused

could anyone advise what panel size i would need to do this and what equipment i would need to set it all up

i can do all the wiring and installation myself

cheers

Well we have a 130 watt one and on a lovely day I've seen it putting 6 amps into my batteries.

That's almost all I know about it...

HTH in some way

Hi,

Is that the best that a 130 watt panel will give on a sunny day? I was under the impression that 130watt panel would give 10.8 amps as i have always assumed 12 watts = 1 amp at 12volts dosen't it ? have to re-think my sizing

 We've had 18 amps from our 250 watt Solar panels with Solar Boost 2000E controller. Don't know what it would be putting out in the middle of summer in Spain. Haven't been there. :frowny:

BTW. Bryan. It puts in the voltage at 13.8 when it's ticking over.
