Bilbao to calais in august (1 Viewer)

Plan is to get the ferry to Bilbao, stay for about a week in northern Spain then wind our way through France for another week taking the tunnel back.
We are in a 7m Benimar with a small dog.
Any recommendations on a suitable site in northern spain and a route through france?

We quite like the Biarritz-Anglet-Bayonne area. Aires at Anglet (first choice) and just up the road at La Barre, good bus services and bike routes.

I suppose a lot depends on how far you're prepared to travel per day, and if you want to see the sea or not. Below the Gironde I'd say try Lacanau-Ocean, which has a bit more about it than other similar resorts. Nearer to Calais there's Honfleur which is worth a look and has a huge aire.

In between you've got Charente-Maritime (ie La Rochelle, La Palmyre, Ile de Re, Ile d'Oleron) plus Parc Puy du Fou near Les Eppesses and/or Parc Futuroscope just above Poitiers, both with huge aires. Brittany's a bit out of the way but not out of the question. Whatever floats your boat really.
