for what its worth,you could hold a fourth at Newbury,but the following year make the fifth anniversary one not to be forgotten,giving everybody chance to plan and organise said event.

19th to 22nd Western M/H show
25th to 29th RVOC Oswestry
9th to 12th Shepton Mallet
23rd to 26th Lincoln Finale
and Newbury is somewhere in the middle

Hi Jim...If the Birthday date is Sept that is the month it should be IMHO ... whatever date it will never suit everyone no matter how hard you try for it...


We would be willing to change our tunnel dates so we could attend that w/e of 23/25 Sept not wanting to miss out on such a lovely reason to be together celebrating Fun xx

Most of September we are sur le continent in Italy and the beerfest in Munich, so cant make the birthday bash but whatever you decide I am sure you will all have a great time.

Obviously so Keith, but that's not the reason for suggesting Newark.
A previous post suggested Newark or Lincoln. Newark is better managed, more laid back.
If I had wanted close to home I would have suggested Lincoln. Showground is all of 12 miles away.
Got be somewhere, some of us have to travel whatever happens.
Needs to be fairly UK central.

I don't expect it will end up close to our home either, but Newark is not UK central. As stated before the center of GB geographically has got to be some where north of the Yorkshire Dales and Newark is a long way from there.

Has anyone suggested Wrenbury as that had in the past a big turn out and looks to be even bigger this year, just wondering if that has such a good turnout is it easier to get to than other places and has enough space for the big RV's etc with a pub attach if wet weather (which it wont be )

Personally I am sick to death of travelling across to Newark, Lincoln & Peterborough over the past 4 years. I have come to know every pot hole on that dawned a50 and the concrete road plays havoc with my piles :Angry:

A good place if you wanted a show, although again time frame would be wrong would be Knutsford as it is local to me and Im selfish. Just south of Manchester, it's not the Yorkshire dales, but probably as close to the North as would be, only another 60-80 miles.

All I can't believe is that it has been four years!!!

If you want to do September, why not? just book it and throw it in.

If booked, a party is on, beer is on offer, motorhome weirdos (sorry I mean enthusiasts)
are going to be there then, I guess we will be too. :thumb: if we can of course

but,

I do my one a year, and boy, if it aint a motorhome show, it takes some organising, trying to keep 60+ motorhomes happy in a field of nothing is a challenge.
