Hi,

We're about to take delivery of a Motorhome for the first time. As a Newbie can you offer advice on where the best place to contact for Insurance.
Any help appreciated

Just ring them all up and ask for a quote. Dont just compare the premium that you have to pay. Look at what your coverd for or not as the case may be.

Limited Mileage, Breakdown, Glass eg windows windscreens, Europen Cover etc.

Google "Motorhome Insurance", try the Camping an Caravan Club or the Caravan Club Insurers. There are lots of them out there.

Dont feel as though your being cheeky by trying to find the best price and cover. The Insurers are trying to get the most money out of you for the least cover and risk.

I am insured through Adrian Flux but I would think that there are better ones.

I recently insured for the first time and checked with most providers. I found Safeguard the best value for money giving full European breakdown cover with no weight or length limits and up to 365 day outside of UK at no additional cost.

Try them out at

Safeguard, The Motorhome and Caravan Insurance Specialists
