Without wanting to start a war, which motorhome manufacturer do most aspire to own? What's your dream mh?
Everyone's needs are different, of course; we wouldn't want anything a lot longer than the old Kontiki 600/5 we have now, but a bigger bathroom and a fixed bed wouldn't hurt. Oh, and a gurt big engine. And an auto gearbox. And cruise control... ;)
Is there a 'best' manufacturer? I do like the German brands. Are they well thought-of?

One that is paid for and doesn't break down or require too much upkeep.

Well.. We love our Chausson... But we secretly yearn for a Rapid 1001.. And a drive long enough to park it on

Not interested in names, As long as it is well made with the right layout(for us) & a decent payload(1000kg).

The best van suiting my budget and driveway space is sitting on my drive. Its a Burstner T821 Delfin we love it. Now if my numbers came up I would swap my merc camper van used for racing for a RS sport home

We have been researching and looking at new panel van conversions..

based on quality our preferred lay-out, have it whittled it down to:

    Globecar .. Campscout
    Pilote ........Foxy
    Hymercar ... Yellowstone

    Two German one French ..

Probably be the Globecar , already well established with plenty to view .. afaik, Pilote and Hymercar are not due into the UK until 2015

At the moment, pleased with the Pilote, but did rather fall in love with a Frankia A class at Malvern........ It had lots of toys.......;)

1st choice if money no object would be a custom MCL.
But in the real world either a Eura Mobil (best one I have ever had by a country mile)
or a Hymer 584 purely because it has the best layout for me.
