I think my pair of 110 Ah elecsols are dying
Elecsol are no more,so ,what should I replace them with ?

I'm thinking Banner at the moment-I'm not interested in joining 300 6v batts together :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

How do you use your batteries?

What space do you have?

What is your attitude to spending cash?

i fit alphaline to mine. half the price of banner and a 4 year warranty. never let me down yet. reassuringly heavy too indicating thicker lead plates than most f the cheaper batteries, often in orange cases

never was keen on elecsol batteries and the warranty was worthless

I bought Alphaline from the battery megastore at Tewesbury 5 years ago and they are still going strong. (fingers crossed) I bought another pair from them 2 years ago different make and they are fine as well. easy to find and not that far from you. don't forget to disconnect the solar before the batteries or do it at night.

If you can afford them then Gel or AGM batteries are maintenance free. Victron, Mastervolt, Sonnenschein or Deta are a safe bet. These brands are used extensively in the Marine market.

I have 3 x Optima batteries, made in the USA, circular cells and are very very fast chargers so with solar even on a dull ish day they stay at 12.8v, tried other options and bought these as I had one on my last caravan for 3 years and its was brilliant, still good as new when I sold it.
We are heavy users of 12v and I just got fed up with running down batteries so allthough expensive they fixed my problem with using up too much payload.
