    Hi Folks

Had to come home on the back of a recover truck because the key code light came on and killed the engine.

We have had our Delcy 6 months with no problems except the key code bulb lighting up now and then but it’s never killed the engine before.

When we bought it the dealer said it was not a problem just ignore it and to be fairs it’s not been a problem.

I know it’s stored in the steering column the immobiliser that is.

The question is how do we cure the problem please.

Are we looking at big bucks or 50 quid to a Sparkie.

If you send me a copy of your V5 I will send you instructions how to remove your CODE immobiliser

Fiat claim it cannot be done and replace lots of bits at a cost of several hundred pounds

Just out of interest, where about where you when you broke down?
My previous van did the same while I was parked at the M42 Tamworth services. The AA man towed me a mile up the road and said try now - it worked perfectly.
The AA man said he gets loads of call outs to Peugeot/Citroen motorhomes at Tamworth Services - apparently he said there are some local radio masts that cause interference with the transmitters in the key but moving the vans a mile up the road and they start ok!

So does the immobilizer not work now? My key sign comes on now and again and the engine won't start.
