does anyone know how to stop overhead bed rattling when travelling
Remove Ian and his new GF ?
I read in the Chausson section last week that you can adjust the two front springs with a spanner - drop the bed half way - stand at the front and you can just see the nuts where it connects to the tracks.... so i did this on Friday with my Benimar - and yes no squeaking ..ps check for loose screws in the front vertical tracks - if protruding will catch the bed on its way down.
And congratulations on owning a quality van like the 294
the knew benimars dont have the springs on the beds
There are two points (in the Benimar 202) at which the bed is attached to the vertical tracks - these two have a thread and nut inside the bed frame and there is also a spring to tension this - by adjusting the tension you can reduce the rattle when travelling
thanks but the 294 does not have any springs??? it is done by gas struts.
