We saw the one in Benidorm yesterday, absolutely stunning and all made of paper. They are going to set fire to it tonight at Midnight with a big firework display, I hope we are far enough away at Almafra to miss most of the fireworks, Charlie hates them!

We were in carcaixent Tuesday. Omg how noisy.
With the promise of their fallas on Wednesday we made a quick exit.
Old and young were throwing fireworks everywhere on Tuesday.
Gangs kept us awake till 6 am with Their singing and dancing.
Car doors wide open with Caribbean music playing, singing and drinking and I saw 3 lads snorting drugs.
That was in the local aire there.
They were preparing to burn their figures at 1 am on Thursday morning so we definitely wouldn't have got any sleep the next night either.
Guardia civil were there checking the groups of lads out.
Found another aire for Wednesday
Blissful nights sleep.
Must be getting old.

Went to the "crema" or burning of the figures in Benidorm, started at 11pm with the children's one and then the first of the biggy's at midnight, there were a few fireworks but not as loud as the afternoon ones. Not as busy in the area as we thought it might be.

I am not convinced about the papier mâché as they burned with black smoke and dripping flames, lots of plastic involved if you ask me.
